Christ’s Lot

This is a story about Abraham’s Lot.

As part of his inheritance, he was given a relative, and a promise of children like the stars.
Enemies conspired against him and plundered Lot, taking him captive to a far away land.
When Abraham heard of it, he gathered all his troops, left his holy land, and went to war against his enemies.
He decimated his enemies, killed the kings in foreign lands, and saved his relative from a certain doom.
Upon arriving home, he was greeted with the blessing of Melchizedek through the Most High God and praised for defeating his enemies by the hand of God.

Read Ps 110 for details.

The Lord says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

The Lord sends forth from Zion Your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of Your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of Your youth will be Yours. The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.”

The Lord is at Your right hand; He will shatter kings on the day of His wrath. He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; He will shatter chiefs over the wide earth. He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore He will lift up His head.
(Ps 110:1-7, ESV)
